The 4th Annual Boardwalk Armed Forces Parade
The 4th Annual Boardwalk Armed Forces parade was held on August 11, 2014. I hadn't realized it at the time but it was meant to be a kick-off event for the Atlantic City Air Show. I attended the air show but it is not easy to get pictures of those jets zipping by so I just enjoyed the show sans camera. I am sharing the photos of a wonderful parade but none for the air show although I have done a previous blog on the airshow itself.
Marching the length of the Boardwalk were the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Band, bands from each branch of the military, veteran and civic organizations, police and fire departments representatives, and high school bands.
The parade began at 6 pm and lasted nearly
two hours on August 11, 2014.
