The Fifth Annual Armed Forces Parade and the "Thunder Over the Boardwalk" Air Show was a two day event. I am hoping the down turn in the gambling in Atlantic City does not jeopardize the continuation of this two-part event. It is such a wonderful boost to the city and I want to keep coming back for this. The kick-off Armed Forces parade was held on August 31st. The Air Show featuring the US Navy Blue Angels jets was held on a beautiful day----September 2, 2015. Also participating were the U. S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and the GEICO Skytypers.
My friends and I took our spot on the boardwalk near the Tropicana Casino for the parade. The parade was comprised of military bands playing patriotic music including the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Band, representatives from each branch of the military, veteran and civic organizations, representatives of the police and fire departments, all aspects of public safety, and multiple parade floats carrying live entertainment.
